Nathan is a Ngarrindjeri man living and working on Kaurna Yarta, with deep cultural and Community connections and nearly 15 years of experience in the health sector. Over this time, he has built strong leadership capability across a range of areas including Tackling Indigenous Smoking (including Quitline and Quitskills), cancer prevention, health promotion and public health.

Over the past five years, Nathan has led and supported the development of significant and innovative policy initiatives, including the South Australian Aboriginal Health Promotion Strategy 2022–2030 and the South Australian public sector Anti-Racism Strategy. He is passionate about embedding cultural determinants of health and Health in All Policies approaches into program and policy design, and about creating culturally safe environments for Aboriginal people, whether as staff or Community members engaging with services.

As Deputy CEO and General Manager, Sector Development, Nathan leads strategic initiatives to strengthen and grow South Australia’s ACCH sector, provides high-level advice to the CEO, Board and Member Services, and works in partnership with Member Services to build workforce capability and improve health outcomes for our mob.
