If your organisation is an incorporated Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service delivering, or working towards delivering, comprehensive primary health care services in South Australia, you are invited to apply for AHCSA membership. AHCSA offers two membership options, Full Member and Associate Member, providing opportunities to be a part of the peak body for Aboriginal health in South Australia.

Membership is subject to eligibility criteria. For full details, please refer to our Constitution.

What does it mean to be a Member of AHCSA?

Joining our Member Services means you will have a voice in the direction of AHCSA through:

  1. Voting at general meetings (Full Members only)
  2. Nominating a Director to the AHCSA Board (Full Members only)
  3. Receiving regular updates on AHCSA activities
  4. Participating in advocacy for the ACCHO sector and the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people in SA

Considerations before applying

Before submitting an application, please consider whether your organisation meets the following:

  1. Is your organisation controlled by members of your local Aboriginal Community or communities?
  2. In governing documented, are the rights to vote only to members who are Aboriginal?
  3. Is the majority of your Board comprised of Aboriginal Directors?
  4. Can you provide a current copy of your Constitution?
  5. Do you provide, or are you taking steps to provide, comprehensive primary health care?
  6. Does your organisation have accreditation?
