Isabella Johnson

General Manager of Innovation, Evidence and Reform

Isabella is an experienced public health leader living and working on Kaurna land. She brings extensive knowledge in foundational public health principles, strategic planning and stakeholder engagement, supporting the CEO in managing AHCSA’s strategic and operational developments.

She has worked in public health management across both the not-for-profit and state government sectors, providing her with valuable insight to support and advocate for AHCSA’s Member Services and the communities they serve. With formal qualifications and a strong foundation in health promotion, social determinants of health, health equity and Aboriginal health, Isabella is also grounded by extensive experience in communicable disease control and applies a rights-based approach to her leadership.

As General Manager of Innovation, Evidence and Reform, Isabella leads work across research, ethics, reform, advocacy and policy. She is committed to working alongside Member Services and communities to ensure programs are accessible, culturally appropriate and responsive to need, while championing a holistic and preventative approach to improving Aboriginal health outcomes.
