SA/NT Youth Cancer Service supports young people aged 15–25 years receiving cancer treatment at any hospital in South Australia. The multidisciplinary team includes cancer doctors, social worker, registered nurse, psychologist, exercise physiologist and music therapist. Services include physical therapy and psychosocial support, education support, financial information, resources and specialist nursing support with expertise in the needs of adolescents and young adults with cancer. The service works alongside families, Aboriginal Liaison Officers and community support to provide culturally responsive care and help young people stay connected to family, culture and everyday life during and after treatment.
