Sonder Aboriginal health programs provide culturally safe services that can support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people affected by cancer by helping them navigate the health system, connect with specialist doctors and allied health services, and assist with referrals and follow-up care.
The service also supports transport to medical appointments and links to community and culturally appropriate supports. Care coordinators and Aboriginal outreach workers work alongside individuals to ensure care is culturally safe, holistic, and responsive to family and community needs.
