Oak Valley Health Service ensures Aboriginal people in Oak Valley can access cancer services through culturally safe primary healthcare and strong pathways into the wider health system. This includes well-person screening for early detection, GP-led diagnosis and management of chronic conditions, and referral to external specialists for further investigation and treatment. The service also provides support to navigate the health system and ensure cultural safety and continuity of care, including transport assistance, care coordination, advocacy, and social and emotional wellbeing support for individuals and families.
