Service Description:

National Bowel Cancer Screening Program provides free bowel screening kits every two years for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples aged 45 to 74. Kits are automatically mailed through Medicare, and can also be accessed via local Aboriginal Medical Services, health clinics or GPs. Bowel cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, with risk increasing with age. When detected early, bowel cancer is highly treatable, with most cases able to be successfully treated if found early. Click here for more information.
