Applications are now open for the National Centre of Excellence in Intellectual Disability Health’s 2026 Innovation Seed Funding Grants.

These grants support practical projects that improve how care is delivered for people with intellectual disability.

 

Funding available

NCEIDH will fund up to two projects. Each project can receive up to $100,000. Projects must be completed within 18 months.

What we are looking for

NCEIDH want projects that are:

  • Led by a health service or service provider supporting people with intellectual disability
  • Implementation‑focused, not exploratory or early‑stage research
  • Co‑designed with people with intellectual disability and/or families
  • Delivered in partnership with research, implementation or evaluation experts
  • Practical, feasible, and completed within 18 months.

These grants are not for early-stage ideas, individuals, or general funding requests.
