Aboriginal Maternal and Infant Care Educator

The Aboriginal Maternal and Infant Care (AMIC) Educator is responsible for the delivery of culturally safe, appropriate, accessible, high quality accredited education programs that support and promote positive experiences and improved outcomes across pregnancy, childbirth, and early parenting for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.
The role designs and facilitates comprehensive antenatal, birthing, and postnatal care education for trainees undertaking the AMIC specialisation training program through AHCSA’s RTO, to equip trainees with the knowledge and skills to provide culturally responsive maternal and infant care in community and clinical settings.
