AHCSA RTO commenced new classes for students in both the CERT III in Aboriginal & or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care and CERT IV in Aboriginal & or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice during the week of 16 October.
It has been a huge undertaking for the RTO team to start new CERT III and CERT IV classes. As you can imagine, there is a lot of preparation required behind the scenes.
We also welcomed two new RTO Admin staff, Caitlin Brogan and Kiara Blackwell, who hit the ground running, contributing to lead-up and implementation of the first workshop.
The first day was filled with enthusiastic and eager students ready to start their study journeys. It was fantastic to see everyone come together from communities across metro, rural, and remote areas. The week’s educational topics included such things as First Aid, Work Health & Safety, Infection Control, and Assist with Movement.
The sessions buzzed with excitement from both the students and staff (with a touch of natural nervousness from all involved!)
It is always fantastic to see the classroom full of countrymen and countrywomen coming together to share experiences, knowledge, and cultural wisdom to build upon what’s already there, then to take this back to the country to continue to empower and support all of our communities with healthier options.
