Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice

This qualification reflects the role of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people working to provide a range of clinical primary health care services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander clients and communities, including specific health care programs, advice and assistance with, and administration of, medication.
Aboriginal Maternal and Infant Care (AMIC) Specialisation
Location: Adelaide City (and various regional sites)
The AMIC Specialisation units enable the graduates of the program to extend their scope of practice as registered practice of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner to include knowledge, skills, and attitudes to provide competent antenatal and postnatal care, support childbirth within a registered birthing organisation, and provide support and strategies for sexual health for women.
