Professor Katina D'Onise AM

Katina is a specialist public health physician, general practitioner and epidemiologist with many years of experience working in public health at an executive level. She has led statewide functions in epidemiology, health promotion, cancer screening in addition to communicable disease control.

Katina has worked as a doctor in Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services in SA and the NT, and has continued to work with Aboriginal community from her roles in state government. This work has included establishing the new Aboriginal Health Promotion function in government.

Katina is committed to working with Aboriginal leaders, communities and organisations to improve the accessibility and effectiveness of the healthcare system and improve equity outcomes for Aboriginal people.
