Tanya McGregor
(Chief Executive Officer)
Tanya is a proud Yaruwu (Broome) woman who has spent most of her life living and working on the lands of the Larrakia people in the Northern Territory and now resides on Kaurna land in South Australia. She brings a strong foundation in Workforce and HR, backed by a Master’s in Public Administration.
Tanya serves on the board of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), where she actively contributes to the regulation of the healthcare sector inline with AHPRA’s Aboriginal Health Strategy to deliver the National Law. As a strong believer in self-determination Tanya ensures that the Aboriginal community’s voice, including that of community leaders and families, remains central to the design and delivery of AHCSA services.
Driven by a commitment to improving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, Tanya believes that achieving better health outcomes requires an equal focus on both cultural and social determinants.
Julian Snook
(Interim Chief Operations Officer and Human Resources Manager)
Julian Snook is a strategic HR professional with a Bachelor of Business in Human Resource Management. He has extensive experience in health, non-profit and higher education sectors and excels in managing complex projects and implementing innovative systems.
Currently serving as Acting Chief Operations Officer and Human Resources Manager at the Aboriginal Health Council of South Australia (AHCSA), Julian supports the CEO in executing strategies and oversees daily operations across multiple teams.
His expertise in HR processes, workforce planning and policy improvement, combined with his proficiency in leveraging HRMS, enables him to streamline operations and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
His experiences have honed his customer-centric approach, emphasising engagement and communication to foster positive relationships and drive organisational success.
Committed to making a meaningful impact, Julian is dedicated to contributing to a positive workplace culture and aligning his skills with meaningful causes.
Saumya Biskudanaruppage (Sammi) CPA
Manager Finance and Procurement
Sammi is a seasoned accounting professional with extensive knowledge in financial management and strategic planning.
With a strong foundation in accounting principles and practices, she brings a wealth of experience to her role as the Manager of Finance & Procurement here at the Aboriginal Health Council of South Australia (AHCSA). She oversees financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and driving strategic financial initiatives.
Sammi has a proven track record from previous roles including managing financial planning, budgeting, and client relations across various sectors.
She is committed to continuous improvement and excellence, dedicated to achieving financial success and supporting AHCSA's mission.

Isabella Johnson
(General Manager, Programs)
Isabella is an experienced public health leader, living and working on Kaurna land. She has extensive knowledge in foundational public health principles, strategic planning and stakeholder engagement which enables her to support the CEO in managing AHCSAs strategic and operational developments.
Isabella has worked in public health management in the not-for-profit sector as well as in state government, which gives her valuable insights to support and advocate for AHCSA’s Member Services and their communities.
With formal qualifications and a strong foundation in health promotion, social determinants of health, health equity and Aboriginal health, Isabella is grounded by her extensive experience in communicable disease control, and brings a rights-based lens to the management of AHCSA’s program division.
Isabella is committed to working alongside Member Services and the communities they serve to ensure the accessibility and suitability of program delivery, while advocating for a holistic and preventative lens to support health outcomes.
