Careers Information

Located in Adelaide, the Aboriginal Health Council of SA Inc (AHCSA) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation managed and governed by an Aboriginal Board. AHCSA is the peak body representing Aboriginal Community Controlled Health and Substance Misuse Services in South Australia.

Our Workplace

AHCSA is committed to continuously improving and investing in the capability of our staff. We do this by providing a family friendly work environment, opportunities for staff training and development, a generous staff Enterprise Agreement including terms and conditions of employment, salary sacrifice provisions and a culturally safe workplace.

All staff positions are classified at various levels according to strict criteria and the salaries are linked to the criteria. The position level and the annual salary are consistent with AHCSAs Enterprise Agreement.

AHCSA has a smoke free policy at events and in the workplace.

Employment Contracts

With our reliance upon government funding to run the wide variety of programs we do, all staff positions are dependent upon specific funding being received. Consequently most positions within AHCSA are linked to fixed term employment contracts. The duration of the contract offered is clearly stated in the particular details of each current vacancy.

Some positions may require pre-employment checks such as verification of qualifications, child related employment screening, criminal records check or health checks.
